KGV Player ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is a free, cross-platform IPTV media player developed by Anas Darai.
This Privacy Policy applies to the KGV Player application available on Windows, macOS, Android, and Android TV platforms.
By downloading, installing, or using KGV Player, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
Important: KGV Player is a player-only application. We do not provide, host, distribute,
or control any IPTV streams, channels, movies, or series content. All content is loaded from sources
you provide (M3U playlists or Xtream Codes credentials from your own IPTV provider).
KGV Player is designed with privacy in mind. The App operates primarily offline and locally on your device. Here is what the App collects and stores:
Information Stored Locally (on your device only):
- Playlist Data: M3U/M3U8 URLs or file paths you add to the App, stored locally on your device.
- Xtream Credentials: Server URL, username, and password you enter for Xtream Codes accounts, stored locally and encrypted on your device only.
- App Preferences: Settings such as preferred quality, language, theme, and player configuration.
- Favorites & History: Channels, movies, or series you mark as favorites and recently watched content.
- EPG Data: Electronic Program Guide data fetched from URLs you configure, cached locally.
Information We Do NOT Collect:
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identification information.
- We do not transmit your Xtream credentials or playlist URLs to our servers.
- We do not track your viewing history or content preferences on our servers.
- We do not collect payment information.
- We do not collect your location data.
All data processed by KGV Player is used solely to provide and improve the App's functionality. Specifically:
- Playlist & Xtream Data: Used exclusively to load and display your channels, movies, and series within the App.
- App Preferences: Used to remember your settings and deliver a consistent, personalized player experience across sessions.
- Favorites & Watch History: Used to surface your preferred content quickly and enable resume-playback functionality.
- Crash & Diagnostic Data (if enabled): Anonymous crash reports may be collected through platform-native tools (e.g., Google Play Console) solely to fix bugs and improve stability.
All stored data remains on your device. We do not sell, rent, share, or transfer your personal data to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.
KGV Player may interact with the following third-party services. These services have their own privacy policies which govern their data practices:

Your IPTV Provider: When you enter Xtream credentials or load an M3U URL, the App makes network requests to your provider's server. Your provider's own privacy policy governs that interaction.

Google Play Services: App distribution and optional anonymous crash reporting via Google Play Console. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Google AdMob: The App may use Google AdMob to display advertisements.

Google Analytics: The App uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics that help improve the application.

EPG Sources: If you configure an XMLTV/EPG URL, the App fetches data from that URL. The provider of that EPG source is responsible for their data practices.

Channel Logos / Images: Channel artwork may be loaded from URLs specified within your M3U playlist. These are external requests to third-party image servers.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of your IPTV provider and any EPG sources you configure.
All data saved by KGV Player is stored exclusively on your local device.
No data is uploaded to or stored on any KGV Player servers.
- Xtream Credentials: Stored locally using the device's secure storage mechanisms.
- Playlist Files: Stored in the application's private data directory, inaccessible to other apps.
- Cache: EPG and image cache are stored temporarily and can be cleared at any time from the App settings.
While we implement best practices for local data security, please note that no method of local storage
is 100% infallible. We recommend keeping your device protected with a PIN, password, or biometric lock.
You can delete all locally stored App data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing App data from your device settings.
KGV Player is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal
information from children under 13 years of age.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App,
please contact us immediately at the email address below, and we will take steps to remove such information.
KGV Player itself does not filter or restrict the content available through your IPTV provider's playlist. Parents are responsible for managing what content is accessed by children using the App.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your data:
- Right to Access: You can view all data stored by the App directly within the App's settings and configuration screens.
- Right to Delete: You can delete all locally stored data by clearing App data from your device settings, or by uninstalling the App.
- Right to Portability: You can export your playlist files (M3U) from the App at any time.
- Right to Rectification: You can edit or update your playlist URLs, Xtream credentials, and preferences directly within the App.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You may stop using the App at any time and uninstall it to remove all locally stored data.
Since KGV Player stores all data locally on your device and does not transmit it to external servers,
most data requests can be fulfilled directly by you without contacting us.
KGV Player is a native desktop and mobile application — it does not use browser cookies.
- No Advertising Trackers: KGV Player contains no advertising SDKs or third-party tracking frameworks.
- No Analytics SDKs: We do not embed analytics tools such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar services.
- Platform Analytics: Google Play Console may provide aggregate, anonymous download and crash statistics to the developer. This data is not linked to individual users.
- Local Cache: The App uses local device storage (not cookies) to cache EPG data and channel logos for performance purposes only.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements,
or our data practices. When we make significant changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
- Post a notice in the App or on the App's store listing when the update is material.
- For major changes affecting how we handle data, we will provide at least 30 days notice where required by law.
Your continued use of KGV Player after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance
of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
This policy was last reviewed and updated on March 8, 2026. The previous version was replaced in its entirety by this document.
